Meet our Outreach Team for Summer 2019!

World-changers. From top left are Leah, Myung Ju (Joy), Scott and Yan. They will be traveling with us from June 28 - August 30.
What will outreach look like?
Can you believe that we will be leaving for outreach this month?! Here is where we will be going:
Switzerland, for the Montreaux Jazz Festival.
Paris, for the Paris Je T'aime Outreach.
YWAM Bridges of Life base in Saint-Hippolyte-du-Fort, France.
YWAM France National Conference in Lyon, France.
At the Montreaux Jazz Festival, we will be partnering with other YWAM teams, for "opportunities to share the truth of Jesus with the crowds who assemble, through performances of music and dance, children’s ministries, Bible distribution, sharing testimonies, talking one on one and praying." An estimated 200,000 people attend this festival over the course of two weeks, so we will have our hands full!
We will also be joining with many other YWAM teams, local ministries and local churches to flood Paris with the Gospel for the following two weeks. This will mean speaking with people on the streets, "open-air" performances, Bible distribution, and working with several targeted people groups, like Muslims and the homeless.
We will switch gears when we arrive in Saint-Hippolyte-du-Fort, where the focus will be primarily on worship and intercession. They are also building a cafe to reach the locals, and we will have opportunities to reach the university city of Montpellier to our south and tourist-focused Nimes to the east.
Every year, all of the YWAM staff in France get together for a national conference. Our hearts are to not only make immediate impact on the streets, but also to serve the long-term missionaries working in this nation. Our team will be serving at the conference and seeking to bless the staff that attend.

We have one specific schedule related prayer request. During our time in France, our team has almost one week of ministry to be determined. Would you pray with us on where we should go after our time in Lyon? We are expecting to be redirected during our time there to fill a need that may not be known yet. We are excited for the Lord's changes in direction, and anything you may feel as confirmation is welcome!

Wait, why France? Aren't they all saved?
More tragic than the burning of the Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris is the fact that the majority of churches in France are empty.
A few statistics to paint the picture of what France looks like today:
- 40% of the population identifies as atheist. France is the 4th largest atheist nation in the world.
- About 8% of the population, or
6 million people
are Muslim - this figure is rapidly growing due to the influx of immigrants and refugees, especially from North Africa.
- The occult is rampant. The French spend around $40 BILLION per year on occult consultations - to give you perspective, this is THREE TIMES what they spend on family medical doctors per year! There are more registered occult workers and mediums in France than there are pastors. This is a huge stronghold area in this country.
The spiritual need across France is
great.
But we know that the God we serve is bigger and He wants them saved and delivered!
We will be seeking the Lord daily with worship and intercession, to break through the spiritual walls that have held this nation captive for generations. WE NEED YOUR PRAYER as we go through this journey.
Let me say it again -
WE NEED YOUR PRAYERS!
We have been on the frontlines of ministry during our time in DTS here in Kona, but we will be on the frontlines of a whole new battle very shortly. Every prayer counts. Thank you!
