He is risen!
Happy Easter everyone! It's hard to believe we have only been here just over two months. Already so much has happened, the Lord has spoken deeply into our lives, and is so good. There are three highlights I wanted to bring to you.
First - 3. 2. 1.
Check out this powerful music video highlighting what God did for us on Easter. For this video, Jeff had the privilege of performing the role of lighting director. It is such an awesome privilege to be part of a team that is getting to share, record and release the testimony of Jesus through song to the world!
Serving to make records like this happen with excellence was one of the first things Jeff had wanted to do when we came to staff here all the way back in 2018. We can’t wait to see how the Lord uses releases like this one to advance His Kingdom!
Second - Ministry night
We finally had the first Ministry night back in the Prayer Room. It was a battle to make it happen, but so worth it. Cheri even got to jump in and help run sound for the evening. We got to witness as a number of people even decided to give their lives to Jesus that night!
Ministry night is one of the biggest highlights of the week around here. It is defined by passion and pursuit. I'm not saying any other worship time is less; I'm just saying there is a profound difference in heart posture between an 8:00 am worship time as we start our week, and a 6:30 pm worship time to end a day.
If you remember one of the biggest motivating factors for us even coming back to Kona was the need for repairs to happen in the Prayer Room.
And last but not least,
Jeff had the opportunity to help make a special moment between Kona and Ukraine happen.
The violinist in this video is an Afghan refugee from Germany playing the Ukrainian anthem for refugees that had just arrived at the YWAM Base, accompanied by his mentor on cello, who was playing live in Kona during our Monday morning worship time.
