Discipleship and Multiplication
Hi first of all, we just want to say Thank You. Without your support both Financially and in Prayer, we could not be training and equipping people in pursuit of the fulfillment of the Great Commission. We are so grateful every day that you have chosen to partner with us!
God has continued to press on our hearts that by choosing to follow His leading in coming to Kona, we can have a greater multipliable impact than we could have in many other places. Thousands of people hungry to know more about God come through this campus each year, and we have the privilege of being able to walk with them one-on-one, encouraging, discipling, networking for the Kingdom, and, at a basic level, helping to make it possible for them by serving the A/V needs throughout campus!
We of course can’t reach everyone on campus personally :) but all of the projects that Jeff has been pouring into have been so that MANY can share in teaching, training, and powerful prayer and worship times together. He has also helped a number of classrooms get back to functional again, which has helped them to fulfill their God-given roles as well.
As we finish this quarter, it is always a highlight to be able to commission hundreds of students going out to the nations to change lives through the power of the gospel. Even during this “smaller” quarter here, we will be sending teams to 23 different nations! We have seen incredible displays of God’s power this quarter, and are amazed as He is marking this particular group to carry His heart in such powerful ways!
Cheri has been been neck deep in discipleship this quarter, walking alongside the students and staff of this quarter’s School of Worship. It has been incredible watching God completely shift the lives of the students, breaking off old lies and unbiblical ideas, replacing them with the truth founded on God’s Word, and watching them come alive in response to His freedom unlocking their lives! We have prayed together, cried together, learned together, and watched powerful testimonies of the Lord being written through a very intense season for several of our students here.
Our 11 weeks have covered topics such as the importance of unlocking each nation’s own sounds of worship, the importance of knowing your identity in Christ, the importance of Scripture in songwriting (a powerful tool to get the Bible into this generation’s hands, in every nation, in their own languages!), and spiritual warfare. Worship and prayer are crucial in leading the charge to complete the Great Commission, and it is such a privilege to get to be a part of launching this crew back out, armed with the truth of God’s Word and His transformation in their hearts and minds!
Daniel and Isaac
have grown so much in Foundation School, memorizing Bible verses, learning about God each day, making new friends and really settling in. It is incredible to watch the changes that simple things like teachings on repentance and forgiveness and listening to God’s voice make, even in the youngest ones!
Amelia
is growing and changing so fast! She loves tasting her first foods and we have noticed that she is extremely social, wanting to be with everyone doing everything all of the time. Naps are a challenge :) but we are so beyond blessed to have her in our lives. She has the best big brothers, too!
